On Thursday the government declared a three-day holiday for Eidul Azha. July 31 (Friday) to August 2 (Sunday) will be public holidays, according to a notification released by the Interior Ministry.
About Eid Ul Adha
Also known as Al Eid Al Kabeer may be the celebration, which means the ‘Great Eid.’ It has this more important status as in religious terms, as this Eid lasts four days. This festival is celebrated all over the Muslim world as a commemoration of the willingness of Prophet Abraham to sacrifice everything for Allah. Eid al-Adha falls in the Islamic calendar on the 10th Day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the twelfth and final month.
